¾º²ÊÍø Men’s Hockey Wins 2022 Stovepipe Tournament

On Sunday, November 27, New England College’s team won its first Stovepipe Tournament title since 2002. The Pilgrims of ¾º²ÊÍø battled against the Penmen of Southern New Hampshire University in the championship game held in the Ice Den Arena in Manchester, New Hampshire, winning 4-2.
After going down 1-0 in the first period, the Pilgrims evened the score just 32 seconds into the second period. ¾º²ÊÍø ended the period leading 3-1. The third period saw the Penmen score their second goal and the Pilgrims score their game-winning goal.
In all, the Penmen outshot the Pilgrims 35-27, but ¾º²Ê꿉۪s senior goalie stopped 33 of those shots on goal. Junior forward starred in both ¾º²ÊÍø wins in the tournament and was named Most Valuable Player of the tournament.
The Pilgrims’ comes Friday, December 2, at 7:00 p.m. at the University of Southern Maine.
